JOB DESCRIPTION The Project Development Officer (PDO) II - GIS Analyst shall assist PDO III in updating Predictive Analytic tools using GIS and Remote Sensing technologies assist in generating geographical/thematic maps through computer software programs to serve as a logical reference in planning and analysis assist in processing and validating GIS-related outputs to ensure accuracy of data and information and conduct research on the latest GIS technologies, trends, and methodologies to enhance project development and data accuracy. | |||
Functions and Responsibilities: | |||
1.Assist in updating the Predictive Analytic tools using GIS applications and Remote Sensing technologies 2.Generate thematic maps for data analysis and visualization based on various data sets 3.Process and analyze of hazards, exposure data, critical/lifeline facilities, resource capacities, displacements sites, disaster-vulnerable areas, and other disaster-related information/data using GIS tools and Remote Sensing technologies 4.Assist in the preparation of GIS-related technical reports and outputs to ensure accuracy and quality of generated data/information 5.Prepare DRRM-related DROMIC reports 6.Assist in providing learning sessions or technical assistance with the Team on basic GIS workflows and spatial analysis 7.Project Proposals for divisions DRRM-Related Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) 8.Provide technical assistance to Field Offices and 9.Undertake additional duties or other DROMIC-related works as required and may be assigned from time to time by higher authorities. | |||
