JOB DESCRIPTION The Project Development Officer I (PDO I) provides essential operational and administrative support to the Food and Non-Food Items Section (FNFIS). Working under the guidance of the PDO II, he/she shall actively support the Food and Non-Food Item (FNI) Cluster throughout the disaster lifecycle- preparedness, response, and post-disaster recovery. Key responsibilities include assisting in the coordination of cluster meetings, monitoring resource distribution, and ensuring the timely consolidation of reports. This position requires high operational agility and the ability to maintain accuracy and productivity in high-pressure, fast-paced environments. | ||||||||
Functions and Responsibilities: | ||||||||
1.Participate in the FNI Cluster activities, meetings before, during and post disaster phases. 2.Report preparation and consolidation of DSWD CO and Field Offices situational reports on the FNI activities, releases, and efforts to the affected LGUs for submission to the DSWD EXECOM and NDRRMC Secretariat. 3.Report preparation and consolidation of Inter-agency/FNI cluster members situational report during activated Response Cluster for submission to the DSWD EXECOM and NDRRMC. To include PowerPoint presentation to be used by the DSWD EXECOM during the Cluster meeting. 4.Facilitate the convening of the FNI Cluster meeting with the cluster members to discuss the issues and concerns particular in the disaster response operations. 5.Monitors, prepares supplies of Field Offices regarding Food and Non-Food Items. 6.Shall attend/participate in the Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) to be initiated by the OCD. To prepare the RDANA Report. 7.Participate in the preparation of contingency plans particular in FNI and logistics requirements. 8.Mobilization of QRTs particularly in FNIs during disaster response operations. 9.Membership in the Inter-agency and TWG. 10.Assist in ensuring all activities, relative to disaster response operation, are prepared and coordinated with concerned units, bureaus, and partners 11.Contribute to the crafting of guidelines, policies, and status reports and/or updates FNI activities for the division 12.Prepare memoranda/communication letters of endorsements/referrals to concerned OBSUs/FOs 13.Prepare, attend, document meetings, and ensure agreements and issues and concerns are coordinated with concerned bureaus and divisions 14.Attend internal and external meetings, trainings, workshops, and special events related to Disaster Response 15.Render duty at the NDRRMC Operations Center (OpCen) and provide situation reports during response cluster activation 16.Report to office beyond approved work arrangements that may be instructed by the supervisors and deemed necessary in the exercise of duties and responsibilities 17.Coordinate with assigned Field Offices focal person. 18.Attendance to inter-agency, bureau meetings, special events, and training/workshop related to DRRM, and Response Cluster activities 19.Attend and represent the department to cluster meetings and technical working groups particularly. 20.Review and provide comments/inputs to the draft guidelines of other OBS and NDRRMC member-agencies 21.Facilitate disposal of nearly expiring Family Food Packs and Ready-to-Eat Foods. 22.Prepare and manage duty schedules during blue and red alert activation at the agency and national level 23.Prepare communications, MOA with stakeholders 24.Prepare Feedback Reports and 25.Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by the Division Chief and Bureau Director. | ||||||||
