JOB DESCRIPTION

The Project Development Officer (PDO) I-Capacity Building of the Disaster Response Management Bureau (DRMB) supports the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of capacity-building initiatives aimed at strengthening disaster preparedness and response operations. The position assists in the development of training modules and learning materials, facilitates training and orientations, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, and provides technical and administrative support in the conduct of capability enhancement activities. The PDO I also contributes to monitoring, documentation, and evaluation of capacity-building programs to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with the Bureau's disaster risk reduction and management objectives.

Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Assists in budget tracking and documentation of capacity-building activities.

2. Supports data gathering and consolidation of TNA results and other inputs.

3. Assists in drafting portions of the IDCB Plan and WFP-related documents.

4. Supports preparation and logistics for workshops, writeshops, trainings, and meetings.

5. Assists in the development of training materials, visual aids, directional signs, nametags, posters, flipcharts, and other training requirements.

6. Coordinates with activity coordinators in drafting activity designs and programs of activities.

7. Prepares documentary requirements, including special orders, travel authorities, activity advisories, attendance sheets, room assignments, pre-test/post-test tools, evaluation forms, and certificates.

8. Assists in screening and coordination with resource persons and documenters.

9. Prepares draft reports and ensures the timely submission of required documents.

10. Encodes and maintains records in the Capacity Building database.

11. Provides administrative and technical support during activity implementation.

12. Participates in disaster response deployment and field missions as required.

13. Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Section Chief or Immediate Supervisor.
