JOB DESCRIPTION

The Project Development Officer I shall provide technical support in the Policy Development Section under the Preparedness for Response Division of the Disaster Response Management Bureau. The position contributes to the preparation, documentation, and dissemination of DRR- and RRP-related policy outputs. The role ensures that technical tasks are completed accurately, on time, and in line with operational and policy standards.

Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Assists in the preparation of policy drafts, technical notes, and reference materials

2. Conducts research and analysis to support policy development and review activities

3. Provides technical comments and inputs on proposed policy papers, legislative bills (Senate/House), IRRs, and other related issuances, under guidance

4. Prepares documentation for workshops, consultations, technical working groups, and validation activities

5. Supports the tracking and monitoring of DRR- and RRP-related policy issuances

6. Ensures compliance with documentation and reporting requirements

7. Provides technical assistance to divisions and field offices, under guidance of PDO II or PDO III

8. Assists in the collection of lessons learned from field operations and deployments for policy enhancement

9. Participates in disaster response deployments and field missions as required and

10. Performs other related duties as assigned by the PDO II, PDO III, or Section Chief.
