JOB DESCRIPTION

The Administrative Officer IV (Financial Analyst II) assists the Accountant III and Administrative Officer V in the supervision and review of the activities of Accounting Division and staff involved in the processing of financial claims, recording of financial transactions and preparation of financial reports to be submitted to oversight agencies prepares various management reports to be used for decision making assists in the overall supervision and provides technical/professional expertise in the Accounting Division of the DSWD and does other related works.

Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Act as Officer-In-Charge whenever the Accountant III or Administrative Officer V are on official business/travel, and on official leave of absence

2. Review and endorse letters, and memoranda

3. Review, verify, and reconcile financial reports

4. Monitor and consolidate report of disbursement per fund source

5. Review and approve journal entry vouchers

6. Review Bank Reconciliation Statement

7. Reconcile Subsidiary Ledgers Accounts

8. Assist in the preparation of Annual Notes to Financial Statements

9. Provide technical assistance regarding Personnel Services, Maintenance and Other Operating Expenditures and other claims pursuant to the existing budgeting accounting and auditing rules and regulations

10. Responsible for the accuracy of the alphalist of employees and suppliers before submission to BIR

11. Responsible for the accuracy of the reconciliation of remittance to GSIS, HDMF, PHIC and BIR

12. Ensure accuracy and completeness in the processing of financial claims and monitor controlling of cash balances, recording of the financial transactions

13. Ensure accuracy of financial reports as well as other reports for budget hearing purposes and

14. Performs other tasks that may be directed by the Administrative Officers V, Accountant III, Accountant II, Chief Accountant and the FS Director.

7. Performance Rating in the last semestral/probationary rating period or its equivalent, as may be applicable.

(i) Applicants from public sectors outside DSWD Central Office: If vying for promotion or transfer, a performance rating of at least Very Satisfactory in the last semestral/probationary rating period prior the date of assessment or screening is required.
