JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direct supervision of the BGMD Chief, Performs foreman level carpentry works in construction, maintenance, repair and support tasks, and supervises both skilled and unskilled personnel in the performance of the Department's maintenance, construction and other related works.

Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Attend to necessary works in the maintenance, construction, repair of the building and other facilities of the Department

2. Provide technical assistance and advice on maintenance and construction works including the use and care of building equipment and facilities

3. Prepare and submit periodic reports to immediate supervisors

4. Drafting of any Detailed Estimates documents relative to proposed infrastructure, building maintenance and repair works

5. Shall serve as an assistant to the Construction and Maintenance General Foreman, regulate, monitor and supervise the activities of unskilled and skilled personnel and technicians including inspection of their works

6. Consult and assist the BGMD Chief, Engineers and Architects in all building and grounds maintenance and construction works

7. Undertake other tasks that may be assigned from time to time related to BGMD functions.
