JOB DESCRIPTION Under immediate supervision, assists in the management, maintenance and operation of the Department's motorpool repair shop and does related work. | |||
Functions and Responsibilities: | |||
1. Performs mechanical and/or electrical repairs of DSWD vehicles including, but not limited to, brake system, clutch system, electrical charging system, under chassis, engine parts, etc. 2. Conducts annual preventive maintenance on all phases of maintenance for each vehicle using prescribed forms (Vehicle Care and Maintenance Report, Vehicle Inspection Report). 3. Assists drivers in the performance of weekly preventive maintenance procedures to keep vehicles in good running condition and ensure road worthiness, passenger safety and fuel efficiency 4. Advises superiors on quarterly servicing/preventive maintenance or 5,000-kilometer check-up, whichever comes first 5. Determines nature of defects, extent of repair works and spare parts to be replaced to support Job Orders and RIS/PRs for the repair of vehicles 6. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness and safe keep tools and equipment at the GSD-TMS Motorpool 7. Renders mechanic services, whether regular or overtime, as needed during disasters, emergencies or other exigencies of the service 8. Maintains good attendance and punctuality in reporting for duty 9. Performs other functions as may be assigned by immediate supervisors from time to time. | |||
