Job Description

Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting plant performance data; preparing technical reports and test procedures; and supporting the development of strategies for efficient coal usage, plant heat rate optimization, and the plant's coal procurement plan.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Chemical or Mechanical Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in plant performance analysis within the power or heavy industry sector.
  • Experienced in power generation systems, including steam cycle chemistry, permit processes, and performance monitoring.
  • Capable of conducting equipment testing based on ASME performance codes and producing detailed reports from test data.
  • Skilled in plant process analysis and able to prepare deviation reports based on efficiency testing results.
  • Demonstrates competence in simulations or modeling of direct materials and in recommending suitable alternatives.
  • Able to identify root causes of performance deviations and provide data-driven recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Familiar with tools for root cause analysis such as Cause-and-Effect Diagrams and other problem-solving techniques.
  • Proficient in using CMMS platforms (e.g., IBM Maximo) and plant historian tools (e.g., eDNA, Wonderware).
  • Communicates effectively in English and demonstrates strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Bring a proactive mindset, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must be willing to work at Masinloc, Zambales
