Solviva is the first corporate venture of Aboitiz Power through 1882 Venture Studio. We are a distributed energy resources (DER) company focused on residential rooftop solar (RTS). In the face of a young and fragmented market, Solviva aims to establish and expand its presence to quickly assume market leadership. As such, the founding team will be composed of experienced and functionally agile management leading a team of dynamic and mission-driven individuals.

Role Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to monitor the performance of our installed photovoltaic (PV) systems and assets, release work orders, provide instructions to service providers, and generate comprehensive performance reports. The Performance Engineer will ensure that all solar installations operate at optimal efficiency, contributing to the satisfaction of our clients and the overall success of Solviva.

System Performance Monitoring:

  • Continuously monitor the performance of installed PV systems using advanced monitoring tools and software.
  • Identify and diagnose issues affecting system performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize the energy output of solar installations.

Work Order Management:

  • Generate and release work orders for maintenance and repair of PV systems.
  • Provide detailed instructions to service providers to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Track the progress of work orders and ensure completion within established timelines.

Service Provider Coordination:

  • Coordinate with service providers to schedule maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure service providers adhere to Solviva's quality and performance standards.
  • Evaluate the performance of service providers and provide feedback for improvement.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect and analyze performance data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed performance reports and present findings to management and clients.
  • Use data-driven insights to recommend and implement performance-enhancing measures.

Client Support:

  • Provide technical support to clients regarding the performance of their solar systems.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Educate clients on how to maximize the performance of their solar installations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in performance engineering, preferably in the solar energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of solar energy systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in performance monitoring tools and software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis software.
