About the Role:

The People & Culture Business Partner is responsible for advising leadership and employees across a range of strategic, operational, and transactional deliverables that align with the business objectives in their designated unit or branch. It will formulate trusted, and value add partnerships with senior leaders to enable business strategy via a combination of commercial acumen and their P&C expertise across a range of disciplines that include people, engagement, diversity and inclusion, culture, reward and employee relations.

This senior role in the People & Culture function reports to the P&C Director who will contribute to the strategic direction as well as provide guidance on agreed projects and initiatives that will enhance their own skillset and employee capability and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with General Managers and their teams, playing the role of strategic advisor and team player by providing advice that is practical, fit for purpose and commercial
  • Look to continuously improve working relationships, build morale and be an advocate for Planit culture
  • Identify, assess, and proactively drive for people priorities with a data-driven approach, strongly aligning to the branch/division objectives
  • Partners with legal/finance and external parties as needed and required to resolve complex complaints/concerns
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management and their teams (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Train/explain HR process and policies to stakeholders at all levels including their roles and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the P&C Director to develop and execute the P&C plan aligned with the global P&C strategy and plan
  • Collaborate with the P&C Director to develop and agree KPIs and set annual targets for the designated branch/division aligned with global P&C KPIs
  • Drive annual cyclical activities and processes including remuneration review, performance, compliance, promotion - ensuring everything is completed
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve and streamline P&C process
  • Measure and report out regular metrics on your aligned branch/unit
  • Have a solid understanding on related legislation to your region working with the P&C Director to ensure Planit is fully compliant
  • Work closely to develop all members of the P&C function to continuously upskill and drive a high performing and collaborative team environment
  • Form strong collaborative partnership with the P&C BP team and COEs to understand the deliverables of each of them and impact to the branch/region that you support
  • Raise issues in a timely manner to the P&C Director for support and solutioning where complex issues or risks arise

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in the related field.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources.
  • Strong generalist experience in HR in an international business environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of local regulations and associated policies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees including management.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated & proactive self-starter.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise in a busy environment.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
