Job Summary:
Detail-oriented Payroll Specialist experienced in end-to-end payroll processing. Ensures accurate remittances and statutory compliance through tax reporting, Alphalist/BIR submissions (e.g., 2316), government assessments support, and timely resolution of employee payroll concerns.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Payroll:
- Checking and encoding timesheets, such as employee leave forms, overtime forms, undertime/half-day forms, absence forms, etc.
- Uploading non-confi and weekly payroll salaries to payroll system.
- Sending an advance copy of cash salaries.
- Monitoring and checking employees loans, such as advances, SSS loans, PAG-IBIG loans, etc.
- Filing tax reports and other confidential matters.
- Answering employee concerns.
- Assisting in timekeeping, encoding loans, and encoding salary adjustments, such as allowances under confi payroll.
- Preparing data needed for the 13th-month pay every December.
- Encoding and checking salary adjustments for employees, such as allowances, tax refunds, tax payments, retroactive pay, etc.
- Preparing a summary of resigned employees and updating tracker for monitoring.
Others:
- Checking reimbursement for transportation fare in the Payroll Department.
- Remitting payment for advances of resigned or active employees.
- Endorsing remittances to have a receipt of payment in the Treasury Department.
- Monitoring and checking of agency billing.
- Preparing the monthly timekeeping summary report.
- Preparing the monthly payroll summary.
Government:
- Preparing DOLE requirements or assessments.
- Visiting the farm if they have DOLE assessments (if needed).
- Checking the SSS R3 report (for resigned employees) and PhilHealth ER2 prepared by the payroll staff/officer.
- Processing, checking, and balancing the ALPHALIST report versus VP vouchers and EBT reports.
- Validating the ALPHALIST in the BIR system and submitting BIR 2316, BIR Annex F, salaries and wages, and tax reports to the BIR.
- Checking sickness and maternity benefits for employees prepared by payroll staff/officers.
- In charge of processing Magna Carta benefits for employees.
- In charge of processing maternity salary differential benefits for employees.
- Uploading PhilHealth contributions, HDMF contributions, and loans to banking system.
Qualifications:
- College/Bachelor's Degree in any business-related course.
- At least 4 years of payroll-related work experience, ALPHALIST preparation, and processing government-mandated benefits.
- Proficient in handling bulk manual payroll.
- Experience in people management.
- Background in data analytics.
