Job Summary
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, primarily using manual payroll methods. The role ensures compliance with company policies, labor laws, and statutory requirements while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of payroll records.
Key Responsibilities
- Process manual payroll accurately and on time for employees, including regular pay, overtime, allowances, deductions, and adjustments
- Compute statutory contributions and deductions (e.g., SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, withholding tax, or applicable government agencies)
- Prepare and maintain payroll records, reports, and supporting schedules
- Ensure payroll computations comply with labor laws, company policies, and employment contracts
- Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with HR and Finance regarding employee movements, salary changes, and payroll concerns
- Assist in payroll audits and provide required documentation
- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll data and employee information
- Support payroll improvements and transition to system-based processes when required
