Job Description
Position Summary
The Payroll Specialist supports end-to-end payroll delivery for approximately 3,000 employees across multiple legal entities in the United States, Canada, British Virgin Islands (BVI), Cayman Islands, and Bermuda. The role applies strong technical payroll knowledge, sound judgment, and disciplined controls to ensure payroll is accurate, timely, compliant, and fully supported. The Payroll Specialist works closely with ADP, local payroll providers, internal stakeholders, and an international operations partner to resolve complex matters and provide high-quality employee experience.
Reporting and Key Relationships
Reporting to the North America Payroll Manager, you will collaborate with ADP, local payroll providers, Human Resources, HRIS, Benefits, Compensation, Finance, Treasury, Tax, Technology, and local contacts across the supported jurisdictions. You will also work within an integrated delivery model with an international operations partner that provides defined processing, data preparation, reporting, and administrative support under Kroll direction.

The Payroll Specialist works closely with ADP, local payroll providers, internal stakeholders, and an international operations partner to resolve complex matters and provide high-quality employee experience.

You will also work within an integrated delivery model with an international operations partner that provides defined processing, data preparation, reporting, and administrative support under Kroll direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely on-cycle and off-cycle payrolls for employees in the United States, Canada, BVI, Cayman Islands, and Bermuda.
- Validate employee data and complex transactions, including hires, terminations, leaves, transfers, bonuses, commissions, retroactive pay, garnishments, benefits, equity-related income, deferred compensation, and stock activity.
- Review payroll results, funding, direct deposit outputs, general ledger information, statutory deductions, and variances; resolve discrepancies before payroll release.
- Partner with ADP and local providers on payroll processing, system functionality, tax and statutory services, compliance matters, issue resolution, and year-end delivery.
- Administer payroll taxes, retirement and pension programs, deductions, remittances, and year-end reporting, including W-2, W-2C, and T4 requirements.
- Coordinate with employees, internal stakeholders, and the international operations partner to resolve inquiries, support audits, maintain payroll documentation, and improve payroll processes and controls.
- Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least five years of direct payroll experience in a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction environment, including experience supporting the United States, Canada, BVI, Cayman Islands, and Bermuda.
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and ADP international payroll solutions, together with knowledge of payroll taxes, statutory deductions, retirement and pension programs, and year-end reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and demonstrated strength in payroll reconciliations, variance analysis, data validation, and reporting.
- Excellent judgment, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage confidential information, competing priorities, and firm payroll deadlines.
- Availability to provide payroll support during Eastern Time business hours.
- Recognized payroll certification, such as Certified Payroll Specialist or an equivalent credential.
- Experience with Oracle HRIS or a comparable human capital management platform.
- Experience supporting equity-related compensation, global mobility, acquisitions, payroll integrations, and outsourced or shared-services delivery.
