Who are we looking for
We are seeking an experienced
Payroll Specialist who will join our Finance Services Payroll team.
The role will support and enhance payroll systems and processes with a strong focus on compliance with Australian payroll legislation and industry best practice. This role ensures data integrity, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across payroll operations through strong systems expertise and advanced data analysis, using ADP GlobalView (GV) as the primary payroll platform .
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work but not limited to:
- Maintain, support, and enhance payroll systems including ADP GlobalView (SAP based), ensuring system functionality, updates, and integrations operate effectively
- Apply strong payroll systems knowledge to support configuration, testing, and issue resolution across multiple platforms
- Support legislative compliance across payroll processes and reporting obligations, including Fair Work, Superannuation, PAYG, and State Revenue requirements
- Identify, recommend, and implement process and system improvements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
- Monitor internal controls, conduct payroll audits, and mitigate payroll and compliance risks
- Provide system-related support, guidance, and troubleshooting assistance to the payroll team
- Regularly Review, maintain, and update payroll process documentation, procedures, and policies
- Analyse payroll data using advanced Microsoft Excel skills and produce accurate, timely reporting for stakeholders
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, and implementations in collaboration with IT and external vendors
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management or related field
- 35 years experience in payroll systems, payroll compliance, or related payroll advisory roles
- Strong payroll systems knowledge with the ability to understand, support and improve system functionality
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite particularly Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reconciliations, reporting)
- High attention to detail with strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in process improvement and system enhancements or implementations
- Working knowledge of payroll legislation and regulatory requirements in Australia (Fair Work, Superannuation, PAYG, State Payroll Tax, etc.)
Desirable:
- Experience with ADP GlobalView (GV) (SAP based)
- Experience with BST and Oracle payroll systems
- Experience with SAP Payroll and/or SuccessFactors
Work schedule: Monday to Friday / 8:00 am to 5:00 pm / Hybrid 3 days in the office/week
