The Role

We're seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing with accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service. This role is designed for an experienced payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, ensures compliance with payroll regulations, and is committed to delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality payroll services.

You'll play a key role in processing payroll, resolving payroll-related inquiries, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and supporting continuous process improvements.

Location: Must be residing in the Philippines – Remote.

Environment: Philippines and U.S.-based teams across multiple time zones.

Language: Advanced English (B2+ - C1).

Timezone: Monday to Friday – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM MST

Contract: Full-Time Contract.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of any 4-year course.
  • Experience:
  • 4–5 years of relevant payroll experience.
  • Experience processing full-cycle payroll.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws.
  • Experience performing basic payroll audits.
  • Certified Payroll and PRO Software experience is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Full-cycle payroll processing.
  • Payroll auditing and discrepancy resolution.
  • Knowledge of wage and hour regulations.
  • Overtime, supplemental pay, and garnishment processing.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with payroll systems (PRO Software preferred).
  • Characteristics:

Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle payroll accurately and in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Respond to client and employee payroll inquiries promptly, professionally, and with a high level of customer service.
  • Follow established payroll procedures, policies, and compliance guidelines to ensure consistent and accurate payroll processing.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information and adhere to company data security standards.
  • Perform basic payroll audits to identify discrepancies, validate payroll data, and ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Apply knowledge of wage and hour regulations, overtime requirements, supplemental pay, and garnishment processing during payroll administration.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, employees, and internal teams to resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Demonstrate empathy, accountability, and professionalism when handling payroll concerns and sensitive situations.
  • Independently manage assigned payroll schedules, priorities, and processing deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Review payroll data proactively and identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information before payroll is processed.
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time while meeting established service level expectations.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide payroll coverage and support during peak processing periods.
  • Accept feedback constructively and apply coaching to continuously improve payroll quality and performance.
  • Support payroll compliance initiatives and contribute to process improvements as needed.
  • Assist with Certified Payroll reporting when required (preferred).
  • Utilize PRO Software or other payroll systems to process payroll and maintain employee payroll records (preferred).
