We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Consultant/Supervisor to join our Payroll Outsourcing Group in Australia. This role is ideal for someone with payroll experience who enjoys working with numbers, processes, and deadlines, and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely payroll services. You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, supporting end-to-end payroll processing and payroll compliance activities while collaborating closely with an onshore team. Job Summary:

As a Supervisor, you will be part of our offshore Payroll Outsourcing team, supporting the delivery of payroll processing services for a portfolio of clients. You will work closely with the Australian team members to ensure payrolls are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable Australian legislative and company requirements. Your role will include:

  • Processing payrolls for multiple clients by following established procedures, checklists, and payroll calendars.
  • Accurately entering and validating payroll data, including employee information, earnings, deductions, adjustments, and leave transactions.
  • Preparing payroll reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation in accordance with documented processes and client requirements.
  • Ensuring payroll activities are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Assisting with payroll compliance and reporting obligations under the guidance of the Australian team.
  • Maintaining accurate employee payroll records and ensuring data integrity within payroll systems.
  • Escalating payroll queries, exceptions, and discrepancies to the appropriate Australian team members and assisting with their resolution.
  • Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll activities as required.
  • Following established quality control procedures to ensure payroll deliverables meet internal and client standards.
  • Working closely with Australian team members, who will provide guidance, support, and direction on client-specific requirements and processes.
  • Contributing ideas for process improvements and efficiencies as you develop your payroll knowledge and experience.
  • Building positive working relationships with both internal stakeholders through professional and timely communication.

What You Need To Have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
  • CPA qualification or currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification will be highly regarded.
  • At least 3 years experience in payroll processing, preferably within a high-volume, multi-client, or outsourced services environment.
  • A sound understanding of payroll principles, including earnings, deductions, leave entitlements, payroll reconciliations, and payroll reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • The ability to follow established processes, procedures, and quality controls while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with a willingness to learn and continuously improve.
  • The ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with onshore and offshore team members.
  • A customer service mindset, with a commitment to delivering a positive experience for both clients and internal stakeholders.
