About The Role

We are looking for a Payroll Officer to join our growing team, based on-site full time in our office in Parañaque, Metro Manila. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely input of employee weekly payroll data and the maintenance of BMD's payroll system. The Payroll Officer role is to complete the end-to end weekly payroll process as well as intermittent additional pay runs where required. As a member of the payroll team, the payroll officer is bound by the highest of confidentiality requirements and attention to detail is paramount.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain accurate payroll data, including hours worked, leave, allowances, penalties, and overtime
  • Update and manage employee pay details such as rates, classifications, and cost centre allocations
  • Validate payroll inputs against timesheets, attendance records, employment contracts, awards, and EBAs
  • Identify and correct discrepancies between payroll data and supporting documentation
  • Process payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and employee role changes
  • Handle pay adjustments such as corrections, back pay, and one-off payments or deductions
  • Ensure payroll compliance with company policies, labor laws, and industrial agreements
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all payroll changes and transactions.
  • Coordinate with HR and Finance to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Financial Management or a related field.
  • Experience working with remote teams and using remote collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams)
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. This is an entry-level position.
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Prior experience in a similar work environment with administration, payroll, and finance tasks preferred
  • Ability to learn new software/system
  • Ability to adapt and problem solve in a dynamic team environment
  • Ability to work in a high volume, processing environment with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
