In this role, you will oversee end-to-end payroll operations for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring strict compliance with government regulations and guaranteeing that all computations and deliverables meet specific client SLAs.

You will be instrumental in managing complex customer relationships, elevating team performance, and collaborating with the Payroll Head to develop scalable work standards. Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Senior and Junior Payroll Specialists handling various client accounts, ensuring all deliverables are completed accurately and on or before deadlines.
  • Manage team members performance, workload distribution, and capacity planning across multiple client portfolios.
  • Train and develop team members for their career growth, creating a culture of continuous learning and proactive client service.
  • Review and validate the work, audits, and escalations handled by Senior Payroll Specialists.

Multi-Client Operations & Compliance Oversight

  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients across different industries using various cloud-based payroll systems.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all government regulations and statutory requirements (SSS, Philhealth, HDMF, BIR, DOLE) tailored to specific client profiles.
  • Review and approve final pay computations, annualization, alphalisting processes, and complex payroll-related taxes and remittance filings for the client base.
  • Ensure the team meets and exceeds the agreed Customer Service Levels (SLAs) for all client accounts.

Client Relationship & Service Delivery Management

  • Manage high-level customer relationships, serving as the ultimate point of escalation for complex, client-specific payroll inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Lead client onboarding initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and accurate initial setups for new accounts.
  • Provide expert advice, proactive recommendations, and strategic insights on payroll best practices directly to clients.
  • Conduct regular service delivery reviews with clients to ensure high satisfaction, address pain points, and align with their organizational goals.

Process Optimization & Reporting

  • Develop, implement, and monitor robust work standards that can be scaled across different client accounts.
  • Prepare regular, comprehensive payroll, SLA compliance, and team performance reports for upper management.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll workflows using technology and automation to improve service delivery speed and accuracy for clients.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a multi-client service industry (e.g., BPO, Shared Services, or Payroll Outsourcing) is strictly required.
  • Specialization: Direct, hands-on experience in a payroll service-related role is a must.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Finance/Accountancy, Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • At least 5+ years of progressive work experience in Payroll Operations, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial, supervisory, or service delivery leadership role.
  • Advanced understanding of accounting fundamentals, labor legislation, tax and wage laws, and payroll best practices in the Philippines.
  • Extensive experience navigating and optimizing various cloud-based payroll, HR, and timekeeping software systems.
