To support the growth of our multi-unit restaurant operations, we are seeking a Payroll Specialist / Accounting Executive based in the Philippines. This role will handle payroll and accounting functions across multiple restaurants, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless support to U.S.-based operations.

Role Overview

The Payroll Specialist / Accounting Executive will oversee payroll processing and hybrid accounting support for the following entities:

  • The Hideout Kitchen
  • Vic's Martinez
  • The Library Social Club
  • Tropa Modern Filipino

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to the needs of different units while maintaining centralized consistency for Morello Restaurant Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for approximately 116 employees across four restaurants.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, deductions, and adjustments while safeguarding confidentiality.
  • Ensure timely compliance with U.S. payroll and reporting schedules.
  • Handle general accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Support preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated financial reports.
  • Collaborate with U.S.-based accountants, managers, and unit leads to streamline processes.
  • Monitor vendor payments and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Provide insights into labor cost trends and assist in budget tracking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 34 years of experience in payroll and accounting, ideally with multi-unit or multi-entity exposure.
  • Knowledge of US taxation laws is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting/payroll software. Familiarity with U.S. systems (QuickBooks, ADP, Gusto) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling payroll data.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Integrity and discretion in managing sensitive employee and financial data.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with international teams.
