Job Description

Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor - UK, the UK Payroll Analyst will be part of the UK payroll team supporting all operational payrolls for the UK Region. The scope for RELX UK Payroll includes all 5 divisions of RELX (Corporate, Scientific Technical and Medical, Legal, Risk and Exhibitions), as well as any acquired companies going forward. They will support the accurate and timely processing of the payrolls for UK in which we have employees, in compliance with the applicable regulatory environment. They will also assist with the UK aspects of global transformation efforts to consolidate payroll vendors, processes, and responsibilities to create a centralised payroll function in alignment with RELX's strategic goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide accurate and timely review and submission of UK payroll data to meet payroll processing deadlines.
  • Adherence to UK payroll processes and controls to ensure fully compliant payroll operations across the region.
  • Ensure timely completion of UK payroll payments (including relevant deductions for employment taxes, other statutory deductions, benefits and other items) and funding.
  • Produce monthly payroll related reconciliations and support GL delivery to all Finance partners.
  • Assist the Head of Payroll - EMEA in implementing the global payroll strategy for the region, including but not limited to data migration reconciliations, parallel payroll runs and integration testing.
  • Provide best-in-class employee experience for delivery of payroll.
  • Own the resolution of payroll related myHR cases.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across RELX, notably Tax, Finance and Human Resources.
  • Work closely with the payroll vendor to ensure delivery of all target SLA's and payroll deadlines.
  • Coordinate the required administrative steps for UK payroll invoices and ensure timely approval and submission to Finance for payment.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree holder
  • Deep experience of UK payroll operations and compliance requirements is required.
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting UK payroll transformation projects highly beneficial.
  • Previous use of Workday and associated payroll integrations desirable.
  • Ceridian Dayforce experience (desirable).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance/Accounting, or related experience or discipline.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of building personal networks.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.
