Job Description

Job Summary

Perform a variety of payroll and clerical duties under direct supervision of the payroll manager. Compile and record employee time and payroll data. May compute employees time worked, production, and commission; post wages and deductions; or prepare paychecks. Responsible for tasks requiring initiative, organization, and independent judgment in solving routine problems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Payroll Administration - Validate, input, and maintain payroll data to ensure the accurate and efficient delivery of payroll services; prepare payroll for bank submission and entry into financial systems; prepare manual payments when required; prepare payroll reports and reconciliations.
  • HR Data Management - Carry out a wide range of HR data processing tasks as directed; advise other colleagues and provide guidance on processes when needed.
  • Document Management - Create a local document management system for an office or department.
  • Document Preparation - Prepare moderately complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for reports.
  • Data Collection and Analysis - Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.
  • Solutions Analysis - Find the most effective ways to respond to routine functional inquiries. Involves following procedures and precedents.
  • Internal Client Relationship Management - Build effective working relationships within the internal client organization and contribute to the management of the partnering relationship, delivering high-quality professional services within established routines or as part of an agreed project.
  • Operational Compliance - Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
  • Personal Capability Building - Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree holder
  • Minimum of 3 years experience for both end to end and US payroll experience, preferably in BPO/Shared Services set-up
  • Has in depth understanding of financial accounting, payroll tax systems and softwares
  • Has end-to-end payroll processing experience
  • Proficient with MS tools especially MS Excel
  • Amenable to work in night/graveyard shift
  • Familiarity with Dayforce and Workday is a plus
  • Knowledge or experience with any Payroll System and Ticketing tool/system is a plus
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives
