Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | U.S. Business Hours

Start Date: ASAP

We're looking for an experienced Payroll & HR Specialist to support a U.S.-based healthcare organization. This role will handle full-cycle payroll while also supporting key HR functions, including employee onboarding, offboarding, benefits, and employee records.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and process full-cycle payroll from start to finish
  • Review timesheets, pay rates, overtime, PTO, deductions, reimbursements, and bonuses
  • Audit payroll and identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Process payroll adjustments, corrections, and off-cycle payrolls
  • Handle garnishments, levies, child support orders, and other required deductions
  • Support payroll tax reporting, reconciliations, audits, and year-end payroll activities
  • Maintain accurate and confidential payroll and employee records
  • Coordinate new-hire onboarding and employee offboarding
  • Maintain employee information across payroll, HRIS, benefits, and other systems
  • Support benefits administration and payroll-related deductions
  • Assist with employee leave tracking and payroll/benefit coordination
  • Respond to routine payroll, benefits, and HR-related employee inquiries

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on payroll experience
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting U.S.-based clients in the healthcare, medical practice, clinic, or related healthcare industry
  • Strong experience with full-cycle payroll processing
  • Experience independently managing payroll and meeting strict payroll deadlines
  • Knowledge of U.S. payroll taxes, deductions, garnishments, wage and hour requirements, and payroll recordkeeping
  • Experience with employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Proficiency with payroll/HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential employee information

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hands-on experience with ADP and BambooHR
  • Experience with multi-state payroll
  • Experience with benefits administration and payroll deduction reconciliation
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and U.S. state leave requirements
  • Payroll certification such as FPC or CPP is a plus
