What You'll Do
- Take ownership of end-to-end fortnightly payroll, ensuring employees across head office and retail are paid accurately and on time.
- Build your expertise in Australian payroll compliance, managing PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, STP, and Workcover requirements.
- Apply your attention to detail in handling termination, redundancy, and leave entitlement calculations.
- Be the go-to payroll contact, responding to queries and supporting stakeholders with clear, timely communication across time zones.
- Keep employee records accurate and up to date, supporting the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
- Strengthen your finance skills by managing payroll journals, reconciliations, and contributing to month-end, year-end, and audit processes.
- Expand your experience in financial analysis, including investigation and resolution of transactional issues.
Key Criteria
- At minimum 5 years payroll systems experience, working within a fast-paced business environment.
- Familiarity with payroll compliance principles; prior exposure to Australian payroll legislation, awards, and statutory obligations (including superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax) is required for this role.
- Experience using Employment Hero software is a must-have requirement.
- Foundational experience in accounting would be a good addition to have for this position.
- Experience in NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be a good plus.
- Good English Language written & verbal skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management to deliver accurate work on deadlines.
Work setup:
- Manila (BGC, Taguig): Australian hours (6:00AM – 3:00PM PHT) Full time in office during probation. Moving to Hybrid set up afterwards.
