Role Purpose

We are looking for a hands-on Payments SME to own the Payments stream for a core banking transformation program in the Philippines. The SME will drive requirement analysis, To-Be solution design, and integrations across RTGS, SWIFT, cards, and real-time payment rails using Finastra Global PAYplus (GPP). This is an active implementation role requiring direct collaboration with solution architects and product vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Payments Solution Design: Own the Finastra GPP payments stream, leading workshops to define To-Be workflows for RTGS, SWIFT, cards, and ISO 20022 messaging.
• Interface & Integration Management: Write and secure sign-offs for Interface Specification Documents (ISDs) connecting GPP to upstream/downstream platforms via MQ, REST/SOAP APIs, and file-based interfaces.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement: Engage directly with Finastra and interface vendors to evaluate product features, identify gaps, resolve constraints, and finalize designs.
• Full-Lifecycle Execution: Provide SME support across SIT/UAT testing, defect triage, data mapping, payment reconciliation, production cutover, and hypercare.
• SLA & Compliance Support: Ensure payment interface performance (throughput/latency) and compliance with security standards (OAuth2, SSL) and regional regulatory mandates.

Most Important Skills Required

1. Finastra GPP & ISO 20022 Expertise: Deep functional/technical knowledge of Finastra Global PAYplus (GPP), SWIFT, RTGS, real-time payments, and ISO 20022 messaging standards.
2. Hands-On Core Banking Implementation (10+ Yrs): Practical end-to-end delivery experience on core banking transformation projects (hands-on individual contributor, non-advisory).
3. Integration Design & ISDs: Proven ability to author Interface Specification Documents (ISDs) for MQ, REST/SOAP APIs, and JSON/XML file transfers.
4. Vendor & Defect Management: Direct experience challenging software vendors on capabilities, evaluating configurations, and driving SIT/UAT defect resolution.
5. Security & SLA Performance: Working knowledge of payment security protocols (OAuth2, SSL) and performance metrics (SLA, latency, throughput).
