The Opportunity

We're hiring a Payer Enrollment Specialist to join a fast-growing health-tech platform that manages provider credentialing and payer contracting at scale — owning end-to-end provider enrollments through payer portals, email, and PDF applications; maintaining accurate provider profiles in the enrollment management system; and serving as the administrative backbone that bridges healthcare providers and insurance networks every day.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

  • Inbound & Outbound Calls: Answer inbound calls regularly and make outbound calls as needed to follow up on provider enrollment status with insurance companies.
  • Platform Administration: Complete and manage administrative tasks within the credentialing platform, including updating provider profiles in the payer enrollment management system.
  • Provider Enrollments: Process provider enrollments through payer portals, email, and PDF applications across major insurance networks.
  • Project Tracking: Assist in delivering and tracking small project deliverables within a dedicated workstream.
  • CX & Onboarding Support: Support customer experience and customer/provider onboarding tasks to ensure smooth platform transitions.
  • Process & Admin: Follow role-related SOPs and process documentation consistently, and handle ad hoc administrative tasks as they arise.

What You Bring

  • Healthcare Admin Background: Prior administrative experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in credentialing, payer contracting, licensing, or claims billing.
  • Credentialing Platform Experience: Hands-on experience with Verifiable or a similar verification platform such as Medallion, Echo, Simplr, or Modio.
  • Payer Portal Familiarity: Experience navigating major insurance portals including AETNA and UHC, and comfort making outbound calls to follow up on enrollment status.
  • Tech Stack Proficiency: 2+ years with Google Sheets for data entry (basic to intermediate), 1+ years with Zendesk or a comparable CX platform, and experience across Google Workspace.
  • Communication & Availability: Strong written communication skills, experience using Slack or similar tools, and the ability to work CST hours (8 AM – 5 PM).

Bonus Points if:

  • You have experience with Availity or a similar platform for bridging the gap between healthcare providers and insurance companies.
