Position Overview
Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced
PAUT Supervisor to lead and oversee phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) operations. You will supervise technical teams, ensure compliance with international standards, and deliver high-quality inspection services across diverse industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead PAUT Operations: Supervise and mentor PAUT technicians and inspectors in day-to-day testing activities
- Develop & Implement Procedures: Prepare comprehensive PAUT procedures, scan plans, and setup protocols tailored to client specifications
- Conduct Demonstrations: Perform technical demonstrations of PAUT capabilities for various applications (pressure vessels, welds, composites, etc.)
- Ensure Code Compliance: Interpret and apply relevant codes and standards; translate client requirements into actionable inspection plans
- Quality Assurance: Review results, validate data interpretation, and maintain rigorous quality standards
- Team Leadership: Guide, train, and evaluate team performance; foster a culture of technical excellence and safety
Required Qualifications
Education & Certification:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent professional qualification)
- ISO 9712 Level 3 or PCN Level 3 certification in PAUT (current and valid)
Experience
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in PAUT inspection and testing
- Demonstrated expertise in phased array ultrasonic testing across multiple industrial applications
- Proven track record in performance testing and technical demonstrations
- Strong background in TOFD (Time-of-Flight Diffraction) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TOFD (Time-of-Flight Diffraction) techniques

- Background in aerospace, pressure vessel, or pipeline inspection
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience
- Knowledge of additional NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT)
