Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
PAUT (Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing) Operator to join our inspection team. This role is critical for ensuring the integrity and safety of oil & gas infrastructure through advanced ultrasonic testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct phased array ultrasonic testing on piping, pipelines, and equipment in oil & gas operations
- Select and apply appropriate inspection methods based on asset specifications and regulatory requirements
- Interpret ultrasonic indications accurately and document findings in compliance with technical standards
- Adhere strictly to technical procedures and safety protocols on all job sites
- Maintain detailed inspection records and generate comprehensive reports
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve inspection findings
- Support continuous improvement of inspection processes and methodologies
Required Qualifications
Education
- Minimum: High School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent
Certifications & Training
- PCN PAUT Level 2 Certification (mandatory)
- Minimum 3 years post-certification experience with PAUT Level 2
- 5+ years total experience in non-destructive testing or related field
Technical Experience
- Demonstrated expertise in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) applications
- Proven experience inspecting piping, pipelines, and equipment in oil & gas environments
- Proficiency in selecting appropriate inspection methods for varying asset types and conditions
- Strong capability in interpreting ultrasonic indications and identifying defects

Preferred Qualifications
- Additional NDT certifications (e.g., UT Level 3, TOFD)
- Experience with offshore or remote inspection projects
- Familiarity with inspection management software and digital reporting tools
- Knowledge of relevant standards (ASME, API, ISO)
