Your Role
As a Patient Accounts Representative, you will manage billing and account-related inquiries for patients, ensuring accurate processing of claims, timely payment posting, and clear communication regarding account balances. This role requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and familiarity with healthcare billing practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and process patient accounts for billing accuracy.
• Handle patient inquiries regarding billing, claims, and account balances.
• Post payments, adjustments, and refunds to patient accounts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing or insurance claims.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims with insurance providers.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.
• Prepare and maintain accurate patient account records and reports.
• Collaborate with patients, insurers, and internal teams to resolve account issues.

What You Need
Non-negotiables / Minimum requirements:

• At least 1-2 years of experience in healthcare billing, patient accounts, or revenue cycle management.
• Knowledge of insurance processes, claim submissions, and payment posting.
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare compliance requirements.

Preferred skills/experience:

• Experience with US healthcare or payer systems.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR and billing software.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
