Role Overview
The Partnerships Specialist is responsible for identifying, acquiring, and activating strategic partnerships that drive customer acquisition and brand awareness through co-marketing programs and collaborative campaigns. This role bridges business development and marketing - prospecting and closing partnership deals, then designing and executing the marketing programs that bring those partnerships to life. This role requires equal parts business development hustle and marketing savvy you need to think like a BD person but understand how partnerships translate into effective marketing campaigns.
Partnership Acquisition & Activation
- Identify and prospect potential partnership opportunities (with e.g. banks, fintechs, home & lifestyle brands, etc.) through cold outreach, LinkedIn, networking, and warm introductions.
- Develop partnership proposals and pitch decks that articulate mutual value propositions and business outcomes for both Solviva and potential partners.
- Lead partnership negotiations including deal structure, commercial terms, and marketing commitments, and close partnership agreements in coordination with legal and finance teams.
- Design and execute co-marketing campaigns with partners including promotional offers, exclusive deals, content collaborations, and customer acquisition programs.
- Develop partnership marketing materials including campaign briefs, promotional content, co-branded assets, and customer communications in collaboration with the brand and design teams.
- Coordinate partnership campaign launches across channels including partner communications, social media, email marketing, and website promotions.
Partnership Management & Performance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partnership relationships, ensuring strong communication and alignment on goals and expectations.
- Track partnership campaign performance including customer acquisition, engagement metrics, and ROI to optimize ongoing programs and inform future partnerships.
- Manage ongoing partnership performance through regular check-ins, performance reporting, and optimization recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships through new campaign initiatives, program extensions, or additional collaboration areas, and coordinate partnership renewals based on performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the Marketing Head, Lead of Brand & Communications, sales, customer experience, and finance teams to ensure seamless partnership execution from campaign design through customer delivery.
- Present partnership updates, pipeline status, and campaign performance to leadership on a regular basis.
Qualifications and Skills
Education & Background
- 3-5 years of experience in partnerships, business development, strategic alliances, or partnership marketing roles
- Demonstrated success acquiring and activating at least 2-3 strategic partnerships from prospecting through to campaign execution
- Strong understanding of partnership marketing including co-marketing campaigns, promotional programs, and collaborative initiatives
- Experience developing partnership proposals, pitch materials, and business cases
- Proven ability to prospect, pitch, and close deals with minimal oversight while managing the full partnership lifecycle
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, finance, and operations teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence partners and internal stakeholders
- Self-starter with strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple partnerships simultaneously
Nice to Have
- Background in fintech, banking, financial services, lifestyle brands, home improvement, or consumer platforms
- Experience with B2B2C partnership models or customer acquisition partnerships
- Startup or high-growth company experience
- Understanding of credit card partnerships, merchant programs, or corporate benefits partnerships
- Familiarity with performance marketing metrics and campaign measurement
- Experience managing agency or vendor relationships for partnership activations
