Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Implementation

  • Provides technical expertise in strategy development and implementation of CSR projects to uplift standard of living, promote sustainable development and maintain harmonious relations with the host communities.
  • Collaborates with different agencies, local government units, non-government organizations, educational, business and financial institutions, and community organizations to establish institutional arrangements, to expand needed resources, and to maintain harmonious relations.
  • Implements Special Projects in a timely and orderly manner in coordination with Site CSR teams and other external stakeholders to promote sustainable development, address negative social impacts and perceptions, as well as to enhance positive impacts and programs.
  • Conducts capacity-building interventions to communities and site CSR teams to maximize opportunities and achieve target outcomes.
  • Conducts periodic visits to designated projects and beneficiaries within EDC sites to provide guidance in over-all implementation.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Gathers and processes monitoring and evaluation data and proposes recommendations to continuously improve the development and implementation of the CSR projects in relation to key result areas and target objectives.

Data Management

  • Prepares reports on CSR projects to comply with company, regulatory and financing agencies reportorial requirements
  • Continuously collects and compiles information and trends from local stakeholders on socio-economic, business practices, profiles, resources and development programs, as well as feedback/concerns from communities surrounding the business unit as basis for developing and improving programs, guidelines and protocols for a more focused, responsive and sustainable livelihood development program and for maintaining CSR database
  • Facilitates the encoding and updating of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Information Systems as basis for developing and improving programs, guidelines and protocols for a more focused, responsive and sustainable CSR programs

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensures timely acquisition of social permits and compliance to agreed conditions to ensure business continuity.
  • Creates enabling conditions to facilitate acquisition of endorsements or permits to ensure legal compliance and to address social impacts of the project.

Management of Resources

  • Prepares details of capital and operating expenditure (CAPEX/OPEX) proposals for CSR projects

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social or Natural Sciences, Forestry, Economics, Community Development or Public Administration
  • At least five (5) years of experience in community development or related field.
  • Relevant experience in a specialized field in any of the following: education, resource economics, development communications, networking and partnership-building, forestry policies, and socio-cultural relations
  • Relevant experience in education, knowledge management, and public relations, an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Above-average interpersonal skills

NOTE: We are currently on hybrid set up, required to report twice a month in Head Office. Work set-up is subject to change.
