- Strategic Partnerships
- Identify, onboard and manage strategic external partners capable of referring quality affluent and HNW customers to the Bank.
- Develop partnerships with real estate agencies, property developers, mortgage brokers, wealth managers, financial advisers, family offices, professional services firms, immigration/relocation companies, business networks and other relevant intermediaries.
- Build senior-level relationships with key partners and develop mutually beneficial referral propositions.
- Negotiate commercial arrangements, referral models and joint business initiatives where appropriate.
- Establish scalable partnership models that can generate recurring customer acquisition rather than one-off referrals.
- Business Development & Customer Acquisition
- Develop and execute business development strategies to acquire new-to-bank Preferred Banking customers across Singapore, ASEAN and North Asia.
- Identify and develop high-potential customer acquisition channels, with a focus on high-net-worth and affluent customers.
- Build a strong pipeline of prospects and referral opportunities and convert them into funded banking relationships.
- Drive customer acquisition across key markets including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China, as well as Singapore.
- Market Development
- Develop strong knowledge of customer, wealth and business trends across key ASEAN and North Asian markets.
- Identify emerging customer segments, referral ecosystems and distribution channels that can provide competitive acquisition opportunities.
- Conduct market mapping and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities.
- Develop market-specific acquisition strategies and propositions based on customer needs and partner ecosystems.
- Partnership Activation & Execution
- Work with internal stakeholders to translate partnership opportunities into executable customer acquisition campaigns and propositions.
- Coordinate joint events, seminars, roadshows, property showcases, client engagement activities and other partner-led acquisition initiatives.
- Track and optimise the performance of each partnership and channel.
- Establish clear KPIs and reporting for partner-generated leads, conversion, account opening, funding and customer value.
- Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Preferred Banking Segments, Products (Wealth Management, Retail Assets), Compliance and Marketing, Operations, Compliance, and Risk teams.
- Ensure that customer acquisition activities and partnerships comply with the Bank's policies, regulatory requirements and risk appetite.
- Provide regular management updates on pipeline, partnership performance, market opportunities and business results.
The successful candidate will be measured on tangible business outcomes, including:
- Number and productivity of strategic partners
- Partner-generated funded accounts
- Growth and sustainability of key acquisition channels
- Number and quality of new-to-bank Preferred Banking customers from strategic partners
Qualifications
- Degree in any discipline
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, wealth management, property, professional services, business development or related industries.
- Proven track record in business development, strategic partnerships, relationship management or customer acquisition,
- Strong network among affluent/HNW customers, business owners, professionals and/or intermediaries in ASEAN and/or North Asia will be highly advantageous.
- Experience working with banks, wealth managers, property developers, real estate agencies, mortgage brokers, financial advisers, family offices or other customer referral ecosystems is preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, build partnerships and convert relationships into measurable business results.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior decision makers.
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated and comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of the Singapore and regional banking landscape.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Candidates with regional market exposure and relevant language capabilities will have an advantage.
