Job Description

Role Overview:

At Maya, partner onboarding is where growth meets trust. As the Partner Onboarding Operations Manager, you will own and scale the end‑to‑end onboarding experience for all of Maya's commercial and business partners. This includes merchants, remittance tie‑ups, disbursement partners, corporate and business savings clients, and future Maya solutions built for juridical entities.

You will lead a high‑impact team responsible for delivering fast, compliant, and seamless partner onboarding in a highly regulated, fast‑moving environment. This role is critical to ensuring Maya partners are onboarded right the first time—securely, efficiently, and at scale.

What You Will Do:

  • Own the end‑to‑end onboarding, provisioning, and off-boarding lifecycle for all commercial and business partners across Maya's platforms.
  • Ensure full compliance with due diligence standards, including KYC/KYB, AML, and regulatory requirements, while proactively managing operational and compliance risks.
  • Drive operational excellence by monitoring SLAs, improving turnaround times, and ensuring high accuracy across onboarding and servicing processes.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable onboarding operations to support business growth and new product launches.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Compliance, Product, Technology, Finance, Customer Success, Credit Operations, and CPM teams to streamline onboarding and enhance partner experience.
  • Track and analyse operational metrics and reports to generate insights, monitor productivity, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead user acceptance testing, pilot launches, and the adoption of new tools, platforms, and automation initiatives.
  • Champion a partner‑first mindset, ensuring onboarding success supports long‑term partner satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Partner Onboarding team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a key stakeholder in strategic planning, ensuring onboarding operations align with broader group and company objectives.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • A bachelor's degree in any four‑year business‑related course.
  • Extensive years of operations experience in fintech or a financial institution, preferably with exposure to partner onboarding, deposit account opening, or account provisioning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to stakeholders at different levels.
  • A strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
  • Comfort working with numbers and producing fast, accurate, and meaningful operational reports.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • High adaptability, flexibility, and a continuous improvement mindset.
