We're looking for a Part-Time Junior Accountant to join our team!
In this role, you'll manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Bank Reconciliations, while assisting with audit preparations.
You'll actively maintain accurate financial records in Xero, Google Sheets, and other related tools, providing essential support to the finance team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Role Setup & Schedule Expectations
- Position Type: Part-time, with potential to transition to full-time.
- Time Zones: Must overlap with both PH and AU working hours.
- Part-Time Hours: Flexible coverageeither 8:00 AM12:00 PM or 12:00 PM3:00 PM (AEST/AEDT), with preference for 12:00 PM3:00 PM.
- Full-Time Hours (if transitioned): Standard 8:00 AM5:00 PM (AEST/AEDT).
What We're Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 13 years in accounting, with strong AP/AR/Audit experience.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Xero.
- Proficient in Google Sheets (formulas, pivot tables, reporting).
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable: Record and process vendor invoices, validate statements, and resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts Receivable: Post invoices, apply payments, and prepare accurate aging reports.
- Bank Reconciliations: Review monthly statements and reconcile payments and collections.
- Audit Support: Assist in preparing and organizing records to ensure audit readiness.
- Finance Support: Handle documentation, reporting, and assist the finance team with core accounting tasks using Xero, Google Sheets, and other related tools.
