Lightbridge is seeking a Contract Part-Time NetSuite & QuickBooks Accountant with U.S. Tax Expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant hands-on experience and possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Responsibilities:
- Manage customer invoicing and collections remotely
- Reconcile AR accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with accounting standards
- Process vendor invoices remotely
- Maintain vendor relationships
- Reconcile AP accounts and ensure timely payments
- Verify expense reports and resolve discrepancies
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations remotely to ensure accuracy
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in NetSuite remotely
- Record and classify financial transactions remotely
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets remotely
- Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes remotely
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported
- Prepare and submit various U.S. and state tax filings remotely
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance remotely
- Assist in financial analysis and reporting as needed remotely
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an accountant with a focus on NetSuite
- Possession of a current QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification
- Strong understanding of U.S. tax regulations and experience in tax preparation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software, including NetSuite
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- CPA certification is a plus
Additional Qualifications:
- QuickBooks expertise, including QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
- Proven track record of working extensively with QuickBooks, including setting up and managing financial accounts, payroll, and reporting
- Ability to navigate complex financial data in QuickBooks and troubleshoot any issues
- Proficiency in QuickBooks data migration processes and strategies
- Ability to plan, manage, and execute the migration of financial data from QuickBooks to NetSuite remotely
- Assess the existing data in QuickBooks, design a migration plan remotely, and ensure a smooth transition to NetSuite
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the migration process remotely
- Collaborate with relevant teams remotely to ensure data integrity and accuracy post-migration
- Provide training and support to the finance team on using NetSuite effectively after migration remotely
- Document the migration process remotely and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
