Daily tasks the staff would be responsible for:
- Answering the phone;
- Liaising with clients, other lawyers, the Court and third parties;
- Assisting with managing the lawyer's diaries and ensuring that Court dates are frequently checked;
- Indexing financial disclosure documents and Court documents;
- Drafting letters and emails to clients, solicitors, the Court and third parties;
- Assisting with the onboarding process of new clients including undertaking conflict checks, arranging conferences, preparing costs agreements and requesting payments;
- Managing file administration including correctly saving and renaming documents and emails;
- Collating documents and folders including briefs to Counsel; and
- Assisting with other general administrative tasks.
Technology and tools necessary for the position
- Proficiency in Smokeball, Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams.
Any specific qualifications or experiences required for the role
- Minimum 2 years experience in Family Law.
The working hours and schedule you'd like them to follow
- Full-time role from 8:30am to 5:30pm AEST, 5 days a week.
