JOB SUMMARY:
Provides legal and administrative support through drafting pleadings, affidavits, board resolutions, secretary's certificates, and legal correspondence. Handles permit application and processing, maintains organized filing systems, and files documents with courts and administrative agencies. Assists in hearing preparation, conducts legal research and fact-finding, and coordinates with government and branch offices. Must be willing to travel as required.
FUNCTION AND KEY DUTIES:
- Preparing and drafting of pleading, affidavits, board resolutions, secretary's certificate, legal correspondence and other documents required by the immediate head.
- Application and Processing of permits essential for business operation.
- Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system.
- Filing pleadings to court or administrative agencies.
- Helping prepare for hearing by organizing exhibits and assisting with other tasks as needed.
- Investigating facts and laws of cases and searching public records and other resources to prepare cases and determine causes of action.
- Directing and coordinating various government offices, branch offices and
- Legal Research involving gathering and analyzing the law, statutes, decisions, jurisprudence and legal articles, documents and other data.
- Travel to branch offices to address their legal requirements.
QUALIFICATION(S):
- With Juris Doctor or Bachelors of Law Degree
- Relevant Bachelor holder is welcome
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time-sensitive documents and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to function effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment.
- Office administration experience.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong legal drafting skills (correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, resolutions, and correspondence)
- Knowledge of court procedures and/or government permitting processes
- Proficiency in research and analysis of statutes and jurisprudence
- Excellent organizational and document management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate with government agencies and multiple stakeholders
- Strong time management and ability to handle multiple tasks under deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic filing systems
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Willingness to travel as required
