Paralegal (Lemon Law & Consumer Litigation)

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to support legal operations related to lemon law and consumer litigation cases involving defective vehicles. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. The ideal candidate has a solid background in lemon law or consumer litigation, is proactive, and can effectively support attorneys throughout the case lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in managing lemon law and consumer litigation cases from intake through resolution
- Draft, review, and organize legal documents, including demand letters, complaints, and settlement agreements
- Communicate with clients to gather case details, documentation, and provide updates
- Maintain and update case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Track deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements
- Coordinate with manufacturers, dealerships, opposing counsel, and other parties as needed
- Conduct legal research related to lemon law and consumer protection matters
- Prepare case summaries and supporting documents for negotiations or litigation
- Monitor case progress and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely movement
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in lemon law or consumer litigation
- Strong understanding of lemon law processes and consumer protection cases (highly preferred)
- Experience drafting legal documents and managing case files
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in legal software, case management systems, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
- Ability to work independently and support a remote legal team
