JOB DETAILS

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with at least five years of dedicated paralegal experience within an Australian law firm. The successful candidate will bring expertise in legal documentation, case management, and client liaison, and will be skilled in supporting a dynamic legal team with efficiency and precision.

Experience in Abuse and Personal Injury law is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage case files, legal documents, and correspondence, ensuring high levels of accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and prepare case summaries and reports.
  • Coordinate with legal teams and external parties, maintaining clear communication and follow-up.
  • Monitor case progress, track deadlines, and assist in maintaining and updating case management systems.
  • Attend client meetings, take notes, and summarise client queries and case information for senior staff.
  • Review, format, and proofread documents, ensuring adherence to legal standards and firm protocols.
  • Support barristers and solicitors with court preparation, filings, and trial documents as required.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience within an Australian law firm. Experience working in a Personal Injury practice group preferred.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in case management systems and legal documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and client-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

Desirable Experience:

  • Background in Abuse and Personal Injury law will be advantageous.
