As they transition paid media management in-house, they are seeking a highly strategic Amazon advertising expert who can take ownership of their advertising ecosystem, optimize performance at scale, and contribute to long-term business growth.
About The Role
Our client is looking for a Paid Media Strategist to lead the planning, optimization, and growth of paid media across their digital commerce portfolio. Approximately 98% of the role is dedicated to Amazon Advertising, with limited support for secondary platforms such as Walmart Connect and Google Ads.
This is a senior-level position designed for someone who thinks beyond campaign execution. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner, proactively identifying opportunities, designing scalable account structures, optimizing advertising investments, and building systems that drive sustainable growth. Rather than waiting for instructions, this person will take ownership of advertising performance and operate with the mindset of a business leader.
Responsibilities
Amazon Advertising Strategy & Account Management
- Own end-to-end Amazon PPC account architecture, including portfolio and campaign structure design
- Develop and execute intent-based segmentation strategies across campaigns
- Manage budget allocation and bid strategy with a focus on ad spend efficiency optimization
- Conduct ongoing search term harvesting and placement optimization
- Monitor and manage TACoS targets; identify anomalies and course-correct proactively
- Perform regular account audits and restructuring based on best practices
- Deliver data-driven recommendations independently — not waiting to be directed, but proactively surfacing opportunities and risks
- Build and maintain SOPs, reporting frameworks, and repeatable workflows for account management
- Report performance across campaigns with clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
Secondary Platform Support
- Provide strategic support for Walmart Connect campaigns as needed.
- Support Google Ads initiatives when required, with Amazon Advertising remaining the primary focus.
- Familiarity with Amazon DSP is a plus but not required.
Reporting & Business Insights
- Analyze campaign performance and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Develop reporting dashboards and communicate optimization opportunities.
- Drive automation and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Competencies And Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven senior-level experience managing Amazon PPC for large-scale sellers
- Demonstrated success in senior-level Amazon PPC strategy and account management, beyond campaign execution alone.
- Expert-level proficiency with Helium 10, including advertising management, keyword research, analytics, and automation.
- Deep expertise managing Amazon Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display campaigns.
- Strong strategic thinking — demonstrated ability to analyze account data, identify gaps, and build a forward-looking ad strategy without being prompted
- AI-native proficiency (ChatGPT, Claude, or equivalent) — must be highly comfortable using AI tools in daily workflow
- Experience building SOPs and systemizing paid media operations
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Walmart Connect advertising
- Familiarity with Amazon DSP.
- Working knowledge of Google Ads.
- Experience supporting advertising across both US and Canadian Amazon marketplaces.
