Packaging Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Packaging Manager to provide technical expertise and operational support for packaging development and trade customization projects. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the successful and timely execution of packaging initiatives by leading transport testing, packaging mock-up development, artwork management, and process optimization activities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical packaging knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across a global organization.

Contract Duration: Until December 31, 2026 (Possible extension)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week)

Work Schedule: Dayshift

Key Responsibilities

Packaging Development

• Oversee the production of packaging mock-ups for promotional and sampling activities.
• Determine appropriate packaging dimensions and specifications to meet business and operational requirements.
• Provide technical recommendations to ensure packaging functionality and efficiency.

Transport Testing

• Lead end-to-end transport testing activities for packaging solutions.
• Coordinate testing instructions and requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze test outcomes and recommend corrective actions when packaging performance does not meet standards.
• Ensure products remain secure and protected throughout transportation and handling processes.

Artwork & Packaging Specifications Management

• Ensure completion and accuracy of artwork briefs and supporting documentation.
• Review and validate printer details, printing specifications, LCN requirements, and Finished Goods (FG) specifications.
• Provide technical support for local artwork rework and packaging updates.
• Maintain compliance with packaging and labeling requirements.

Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Supply Chain, Marketing, Procurement, Quality, and Operations teams to drive packaging excellence.
• Identify opportunities to improve artwork rework processes and packaging workflows.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, quality, and speed to market.
• Contribute technical expertise during project planning and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in packaging development, packaging operations, or technical packaging support.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, printing processes, packaging specifications, and transport testing methodologies.
• Experience managing artwork processes and packaging documentation.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and global environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG, consumer goods, food & beverage, personal care, or pharmaceutical industries.
• Familiarity with packaging testing standards and quality requirements.
• Experience supporting trade customization, promotions, and local packaging rework projects.
