AT A GLANCE
The Packaging Development Associate is responsible for sourcing product and packaging materials, developing new packaging solutions and establishing specifications in close collaboration with the Product Development and Design team. This role will own and manage packaging-related projects for Sunnies Face products, include merchandise, PR kits, product launch packaging and other packaging assets such as boxes, displays and printed materials.
YOUR OVERALL MISSION & DAY-TO-DAY
Sourcing and Vendor Negotiation
• Source and evaluate local and international vendors to meet the requirements for new projects and packaging development requirements
• Conducts product bidding to each supplier and consider production timeline per supplier to meet the desired schedule.
• Perform supplier accreditation by assessing supplier credibility, capabilities, quality standards, and compliance with company requirements.
• Source cost-effective and high-quality packaging materials aligned with design and business requirements.
• Support negotiations with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, payment terms and lead times
• Creates SAP-related purchase documents for ordering and coordinates payments
• Ensures that revisions and details are clearly cascaded to suppliers
Project Management
• Manage end-to-end product development timeline
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Product Design, Development and Supply Chain teams
• Track project timeline, risks and deliverables
• Prepare status reports and provide updates to stakeholders
Product Development
Collaborate with the Design Team to translate creative concepts into technically feasible packaging solutions.
• Responsible in getting all the details, particularly revisions, colors to sample, material to use and product names
• Recommend material improvements, cost engineering initiatives and sustainability enhancements • Ensure product and packaging functionality, durability and compliance with brand standards.
Packaging Specifications
Create and maintain detailed packaging specifications, including materials, dimensions, finishes, and testing standards.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and version control.
• Support quality assurance inspection criteria and acceptance standards
YOUR TALENT
▪ Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or any related field
▪ At least 1-2 years of related experience is preferred
▪ Background in SAP, Product Sourcing and Development, Vendor Management
▪ Knowledgeable of MS Office & ERP systems
▪ Good communication skills, problem solving, and organizational skills
▪ Able to handle physical, mental, time pressure and stress
