Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative
Packaging Engineer to design, develop, and optimize packaging solutions that protect products, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging meets quality, safety, sustainability, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop packaging solutions for new and existing products
- Conduct testing and validation of packaging materials and designs (e.g., durability, transport, shelf life)
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through packaging optimization
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, logistics, and quality teams
- Evaluate and select packaging materials (e.g., corrugated, plastics, films, etc.)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for packaging efficiency and sustainability
- Review and improve packaging processes to reduce waste and damage
- Maintain accurate documentation, specifications, and reports
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in packaging design or engineering
- Knowledge of packaging materials, processes, and testing methods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good project management and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, or consumer goods industry
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and eco-friendly packaging solutions
- Experience working with suppliers and vendors
Work Conditions
- Occasional travel to suppliers or manufacturing sites
- May involve handling materials and prototype testing
