Woolworths MarketPlus (WMP) is expanding its seller acquisition capability to accelerate marketplace growth.
The Outbound Sales Team Lead will be responsible for managing a Philippines-based outbound sales team focused on converting pre-qualified strategic leads into active marketplace sellers. This includes sellers in priority growth categories and high-volume segments that are key to accelerating WMP's market share.
Operating within a defined acquisition strategy set by the Head of Sales, this role is responsible for execution excellence, ensuring consistent outreach, strong pipeline discipline, and high-quality seller conversions. The role is also expected to provide timely, data-driven feedback to the Head of Sales to validate and refine the overarching acquisition strategy
The role is highly operational and performance-driven, requiring strong sales management, coaching capability, and the ability to run structured outbound programs at scale.
What You'll Do:
Team Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of Outbound Sales Specialists responsible for seller acquisition outreach
- Set clear activity and conversion targets across the team
- Provide coaching and support to improve outreach effectiveness and sales conversion
- Build a strong execution culture focused on pipeline discipline and consistent performance
- Serve as the primary voice of the strategic sales funnel, translating seller feedback and sales blockers into actionable recommendations for upstream Lead Generation and Marketing teams
Outbound Sales Execution
- Oversee daily outbound activity across calls, emails and LinkedIn outreach
- Ensure structured follow-up and lead nurturing across the acquisition funnel
- Monitor pipeline progression from initial contact through to seller onboarding
Pipeline & Performance Management
- Track activity metrics including:
- Outreach volume
- Response rates
- Meetings booked
- Seller conversions
- Maintain CRM hygiene and ensure accurate pipeline reporting
- Identify blockers and implement improvements to outreach effectiveness
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with the Head of Sales to execute acquisition priorities
- Maintain Strategic Alignment with Onboarding and Seller Support to ensure smooth seller activation
- Provide feedback on lead quality, messaging effectiveness and seller objections
Process Improvement
- Continuously refine outreach scripts, messaging and sales playbooks
- Identify opportunities to improve outbound workflows and productivity
- Help scale repeatable acquisition programs across categories and seller segments
- Providing input for budgeting and resource planning for future quarters
Who You Are:
- 5+ years experience in outbound sales or inside sales
- 2+ years experience leading or supervising a sales team
- Strong pipeline management and CRM discipline
- Experience running structured outbound acquisition programs
- Excellent coaching and performance management capability
- Comfortable operating in a high-volume sales environment
- Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces or SaaS is highly desirable.
