Job Description
Woolworths Group (Australia and New Zealand's largest retailer) launched Woolworths Market Plus (WMP) in October 2023. WMP is the coming together of two businesses (BigW Market & Everyday Market).
WMP is a new platform for businesses to both sell and manage products across the Woolworths Group Marketplaces. A curated customer destination, bringing together a trusted ecosystem comprising three core banners: Everyday Market and BIG W Market. We have grown in the last year and now operate primarily across three hub locations: Manila, Melbourne & Sydney.
About the role
As an Outbound Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for engaging prospective sellers from strategic lead lists provided by the Head of Sales, converting them into active marketplace partners. This is a high-activity, performance-driven role suited to individuals who are disciplined, resilient, and motivated by achieving clear sales outcomes.
What you'll do
Outbound Prospecting
- Execute structured outbound outreach via phone, email and LinkedIn
- Engage with prospective sellers from pre-qualified lead lists
- Clearly articulate the WMP marketplace value proposition
Lead Qualification & Conversion
- Assess seller suitability across category, range and operational readiness
- Progress qualified sellers through to sign-up
- Manage follow-ups and objection handling to drive conversion
Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate CRM records across all outreach and opportunities
- Progress leads through defined pipeline stages with strong discipline
- Ensure consistent follow-through across all active opportunities
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Team Lead to improve outreach effectiveness
- Provide feedback on lead quality, seller objections and messaging
What you'll bring
- Availability and willingness to work full-time on-site in the first 3 months is required before moving to hybrid with 3 days on site, 2 days at home.
- 2–4 years experience in outbound sales, inside sales or lead generation
- Strong communication and persuasion skills
- Comfortable working to clear activity and conversion targets
- High level of organisation and CRM discipline
- Resilient and self-motivated in a high-volume environment
- Experience in B2B, e-commerce, SaaS or marketplaces is highly advantageous.
