ZigZag is looking for an Outbound Sales Specialist to join our team!

About the role

As an Outbound Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for engaging prospective sellers from strategic lead lists provided by the Head of Sales, converting them into active marketplace partners.

This is a high-activity, performance-driven role suited to individuals who are disciplined, resilient, and motivated by achieving clear sales outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

Outbound Prospecting

  • Execute structured outbound outreach via phone, email and LinkedIn
  • Engage with prospective sellers from pre-qualified lead list
  • Clearly articulate the marketplace value proposition

Lead Qualification & Conversion

  • Assess seller suitability across category, range and operational readiness
  • Progress qualified sellers through to sign-up
  • Manage follow-ups and objection handling to drive conversion

Pipeline Management

  • Maintain accurate CRM records across all outreach and opportunities
  • Progress leads through defined pipeline stages with strong discipline
  • Ensure consistent follow-through across all active opportunities

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Team Lead to improve outreach effectiveness
  • Provide feedback on lead quality, seller objections and messaging

Performance Expectations

This role operates within a structured outbound sales model with clear activity and conversion expectations.

Typical monthly targets include:

  • 1,000 outbound contacts
  • 200–220 sales conversations
  • 100–120 qualified sellers
  • 50–55 signed sellers

Daily expectations typically include:

  • 45–55 outbound touches per day
  • 10–12 seller conversations per day
  • 2–3 seller sign-ups per day

Skills & Experience

  • 2–4 years experience in outbound sales, inside sales or lead generation
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills
  • Comfortable working to clear activity and conversion targets
  • High level of organisation and CRM discipline
  • Resilient and self-motivated in a high-volume environment
  • Experience in B2B, e-commerce, SaaS or marketplaces is highly advantageous.
