Job description:
The OSP O&M Engineer is responsible for the implementation, operation, maintenance, and repair of Outside Plant (OSP) fiber optic network infrastructure. The role involves overseeing aerial and underground fiber optic cable (FOC) projects, ensuring network reliability, supervising field activities, and maintaining compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage Outside Plant (OSP) fiber optic projects and maintenance activities.
- Oversee the installation, testing, repair, and maintenance of aerial and underground Fiber Optic Cable (FOC) networks.
- Conduct site inspections, surveys, and project assessments to ensure quality and compliance.
- Lead field teams and coordinate with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and prepare technical and maintenance reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, engineering practices, and company policies.
- Implement preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure network reliability and minimize downtime.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
- Preferably a Licensed Engineer (ECE, EE, or CE).
- At least five (5) years of experience in Outside Plant (OSP) implementation, maintenance, and repair of aerial and underground Fiber Optic Cable (FOC) networks.
- At least five (5) years of experience in supervising and managing OSP projects, including aerial and underground FOC installation, maintenance, testing, micro trenching, drilling, structural cabling, and last-mile implementation.
- Certified Safety Officer is an advantage.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Willing to travel and work in various project sites as required.
- Willing to work from Monday to Saturday.
