Note: Position is based in Oman
Position Objective:
- The OSP Inspector will be responsible for coordinating and executing field quality surveys and audit activities related to Outside Plant (OSP) works. The role involves field inspections, data collection, quality monitoring, and ensuring that survey and audit outputs meet approved standards and project requirements.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of field survey plans, procedures, and templates in line with approved standards and specifications
- Coordinate, communicate, and enforce survey procedures with all involved stakeholders
- Conduct site inspections to identify audit discrepancies and provide feedback to inspectors and OSP contractors for corrective actions and training
- Monitor field survey activities to ensure execution in accordance with agreed plans and procedures
- Collect, consolidate, and pre-process data from field survey teams for use by the Quality Survey & Audit team
- Review survey and audit outputs to ensure completeness, accuracy, and data quality, and coordinate corrections where required
- Prepare regular reports on survey and audit progress, performance, and quality findings
- Assess performance and identify knowledge gaps to support training and improvement initiatives
- Support the Supervisor in ensuring OSP contractor compliance with project schedules, field meetings, quality audits, and PAT activities
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working on nationwide OSP project.
- Hands-on experience in fiber survey and OSP field activities is mandatory
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills
- Ability to work effectively in field-based environments and with multiple stakeholders
- Valid driving license with the ability and willingness to drive long distances is mandatory
