Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the company's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Management Systems. This includes developing and enforcing OSH policies and procedures, conducting training programs, performing risk assessments and inspections, and investigating accidents or incidents. The role also identifies areas for improvement and recommends measures to enhance safety standards across the workplace.
  • Supports the OSH Supervisor in ensuring compliance with OSH regulations and assists in creating and implementing safety policies in line with the latest legislation. The position plays a critical role in fostering a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring that all safety initiatives and policies are effectively communicated, executed, and sustained.
  • Assist the Supervisor, OSH in developing, implementing, and maintaining the OSH Management System to ensure compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Support the Supervisor, OSH in overseeing the overall management of the property's OSH program in coordination with the OSH Committee.
  • Ensure that systems are in place for thorough investigation of workplace accidents and incidents and assist management in implementing corrective actions and strategies to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and inspections of health and safety aspects of operations, engaging supervisors and employees to address identified hazards.
  • Recommend and coordinate OSH training and awareness programs for employees, including refresher courses and online learning modules, in collaboration with Business Units and the Learning Academy.
  • Ensure that training programs are evaluated and compliance is documented.
  • Ensure strict compliance with applicable local legislation, DOLE requirements, and other OSH regulations.
  • Prepare the property for government inspections and assist external inspectors during safety and health audits or accident investigations by providing accurate OSH reports and required documentation.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an OSH auditing and monitoring process to ensure employee compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging hazard reporting, addressing unsafe practices, and stopping any unsafe acts or processes that could endanger staff, contractors, or guests.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend control measures to reduce workplace hazards.
  • Maintain accurate OSH documentation, reports, and statistical data for management review and compliance reporting.
  • Assist in planning and conducting emergency drills (e.g., fire, earthquake, medical emergencies) to ensure preparedness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Support the implementation of employee wellness, health surveillance, and workplace well-being
  • programs in line with legal and company requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate OSH considerations into operational planning, procurement, and project activities.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, contractors, and guests to promote safety awareness and understanding.
  • Adhere to and enforce company policies, procedures, and OSH regulations at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate superiors, in accordance with departmental policies, company procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experienced in large volume base customer business or from other OSH critical industries such as Construction, Manufacturing or as outlined in.
  • Excellent verbal and written knowledge of English.
  • Experienced in the policy formulation and development, monitoring and evaluation and implementation of occupational safety and health management systems that is compliant and adheres to the Philippines and/or international OSH standards and regulations.
  • Experience in liaising and cooperation with relevant government authorities and regulatory agencies.
  • Demonstrated capability of supporting over all business plans and the achievement of the OSH management objectives.
  • Tertiary level or 40 hours training equivalent (DOLE)
  • Completion of DOLE or accredited OSH training provider's mandatory forty (40) hours Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) and an additional forty-eight (48) hours of advanced/specialized occupational safety training course relevant to the industry.
  • Displays a high commitment to delivering results.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Must have capability to conduct seminars/ training.

  • Displays the highest level of integrity.
  • Ability to work in a ream and approachable.
