Oracle Database Consultant

Location: Rockwell Business Center, Mandaluyong City (Office-based with Onsite Client Travel) 

Business Unit: Professional Services Group – LS Systems Philippines Inc. 

Role Overview 

As a Senior Database Engineer, you will drive both pre-sales technical 

excellence and post-sales implementation for our Professional Services 

Group. You will serve as a technical authority for database-related 

infrastructure, ensuring high-performance deployments, migrations, and 

ongoing support for our diverse portfolio of clients and partners. 

This role requires a proactive expert who thrives in a hybrid environment, 

balancing office-based strategy with onsite implementation and support as 

dictated by project SLAs.  

Core Responsibilities 

• End-to-End Implementation: Lead the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of database hardware and software. 

• Infrastructure Support: Provide expert-level remote and onsite technical support to customers and partners, ensuring minimal downtime and strict adherence to SLAs. 

• Project Leadership: Execute complex database migrations, performance tuning, and high-availability architecture setups. 

• Pre-Sales Collaboration: Assist the business unit by providing technical insights and infrastructure scoping during the pre-sales 

phase. 

• Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of the curve by researching and adopting emerging technologies to enhance our delivery service.  

Technical Requirements 

• Oracle Mastery: Deep experience in Oracle Database administration and installation across versions (8i through 23ai/26ai). 

• High Availability & Replication: Proven expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate implementation. 

• Operations: Proficiency in RMAN (backup/recovery), patching, and advanced performance tuning. 

• Migration: Solid track record in database movement and cross platform migration strategies. 

• Growth Mindset: A strong drive to expand skills through both guided training and independent, self-paced learning. 

• Mobility: Full availability for onsite client visits and regional travel as required.  

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves) 

• Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Cloud-related certifications. 

• Engineered Systems: Hands-on experience with Exadata, ZDLRA, or SPARC systems. 

• Cloud Proficiency: Knowledge of database deployments on OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP. 

• Advanced Security: Experience implementing robust database security protocols. 

• Multi-Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with other database engines (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)
