Role Description
- The Optometrist is a full-time, on-site role based in Makati.
- The role involves performing comprehensive eye examinations, assessing visual acuity, diagnosing refractive errors, and prescribing corrective lenses.
- The Optometrist will evaluate patients for ocular health issues, provide management plans, and refer to ophthalmologists or other specialists when necessary.
- Daily responsibilities include counseling patients on eye care, documenting clinical findings accurately, collaborating with clinical and administrative staff, and supporting pre- and post-operative care for laser, screening and consultations for clinical trial patients and other eye procedures.
- The Optometrist is expected to maintain high standards of patient care, follow clinic protocols, and contribute to a positive, efficient clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Licensed Optometrist with a valid professional registration in the Philippines.
- Strong clinical skills in refraction, contact lens fitting, and comprehensive eye examinations.
- Knowledge of common ocular diseases, diagnostic techniques, and co-management of surgical and laser procedures.
- Effective communication and patient education skills, with a focus on clear, empathetic care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary eye care team and follow established clinical protocols.
- Good organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in patient records.
- Comfort using electronic medical records and basic digital tools in a clinical setting.
- Willingness to work on-site in Makati on a regular full-time schedule.
- Prior experience in an eye clinic, hospital, or similar setting is an advantage.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in optometry and eye care.
